Pay Range + Bonus Eligibility

$94,000-$140,000 range plus Bonus Eligibility of 15%

Relocation

Available, reimbursement of actual costs up to $15,000 (grossed up using flat supplemental rate of 22% for tax purposes)

Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning and directing all maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role leads a team of maintenance technicians, drives maximum machine uptime, and collaborates with engineering resources to provide technical guidance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Maintenance Operations: Manage and direct the maintenance department to achieve business objectives.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and promote a positive, safe work environment.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Collaborate on maintenance plans to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and monitor departmental budgets; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze downtime, identify root causes, and implement action plans for improvement.
  • Technical Leadership: Support technicians daily, provide guidance, and implement systems for problem-solving and accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate with plant management on technical issues and performance metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Pursue opportunities for efficiency and support capital improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of combined technical and management experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of GFSI/BRC, SQF, GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools (iPad, OneNote).
  • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, instrumentation, and control.
  • Physical ability to lift to 52 lbs. and stand for long periods; flexible schedule including weekends as needed.
